Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to share. We use it only to respond to your query or to route it to the right coordinator.
Legal
Last updated: September 19, 2026. This policy explains how Brihaspati Welfare Foundation ("the Foundation", "we", "us") handles personal data on this website, consistent with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA").
Brihaspati Welfare Foundation is a registered non-profit organization under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, with its Registered Office at C-102, Block-B, Sector-62, Noida, UP — 201301. This policy applies to this website only. Our sister initiatives may have their own policies.
Data we handle
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to share. We use it only to respond to your query or to route it to the right coordinator.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes limited technical logs — such as IP address and request details — for security and reliability. This is not used to profile you.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It uses a single "session storage" entry on your own device to remember whether you have seen our intro animation — it contains no personal data and disappears when you close the tab.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts; your browser contacts Google's servers for this. We do not send them any information about you beyond the standard font request.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not collect data of children knowingly (see clause 6).
Only to: respond to your messages; operate, secure and improve the website; comply with legal obligations; and — where you have volunteered for or sought assistance under a Foundation programme — to coordinate that work with you. We do not use your data for unrelated purposes without fresh consent.
Your rights
Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed; request correction, completion or updating; request erasure once the purpose is served and no legal retention applies; nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out).
You may first raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (clause 5). If unresolved, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Under the DPDPA, the Foundation's Grievance Officer is: The Grievance Officer, Brihaspati Welfare Foundation — Email: [email protected] — Postal address: C-102, Block-B, Sector-62, Noida, UP — 201301. We acknowledge grievances within 7 working days and resolve them without unreasonable delay.
Safeguards
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of persons under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it. Where Foundation programmes involve minors, separate verifiable parental consent is obtained offline under programme procedures.
We share personal data only with: Cloudflare (hosting and security); professional advisers where strictly necessary; and authorities where required by law. All processing is on our instructions under contractual safeguards.
Correspondence is kept while needed to address your query and as required by law, then deleted or de-identified.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and audit practices appropriate to a website of this nature. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the care the law requires.
Online donation facilities are not enabled on this website; when they are, this policy will be updated to describe the additional data involved. We may update this policy as our practices or the law require — the version on this page is always current. Questions? Write to the Grievance Officer above, or see our Terms & Conditions.
